Welcome

This blog is written by Dr. Mirna Y. Cabrera, DMA—musician, teacher, and mother of three young children. This blog is intended for families, music and Spanish-language teachers, and most of all, children who enjoy singing and who wish to learn about Hispanic culture through traditional music.

In this blog I provide music material suggestions and ideas for:
  • Parents and relatives who wish to enrich their children’s learning by using traditional Hispanic music in the home.
  • Music teachers who wish to incorporate Hispanic songs and singing in their classroom curriculum.
  • Spanish teachers of any level who wish to use songs in addition to their language curriculum.  
  • Children who wish to sing along to songs while enjoying looking at a picture they wish to color. 
In this blog I will also provide a forum for a cyber audience who wishes to share ideas with each other. We are glad you are here!

    Doctor, Happy Mother's Day!

    I'm so happy you're taking the initiative to foster a Love of music in children & their parents. This is such a worthwhile endeavor. The influence of the music a parent surrounds their children with helps to mold the child's whole outlook on life. Awesome job. :) Keep spreading good vibes. I'm thrilled at all the beautiful stories of lives you'll have affected when you are in your 90's. :)
